AUTHOR'S VISITPublished: 6/3/2009
On Tuesday, June 9th, students will have an amazing opportunity to meet, talk with, and ask questions of the published author, Mortimus Clay. He first came to Porter School two years ago and had 6th grade LA students provide feedback on his manuscript. Using feedback the from students (at Porter and other local schools), as well as his editor's suggestions,Mortimus Clay made some revisions. Recently released, The Purloined Boy is now available. He has kindly agreed to come in to talk with 6th & 8th graders about his book and the writing process. I am currently reading aloud from his book. It is a very descriptive fantasy! If students are interested in purchasing a copy of the book for the author to sign, a notice will be going home on Thursday. He is offering the book for $10.60...a $3 savings!!! Ask your child about this book opportunity! |
